12 Days Of Christmas: Pandesal (Filipino Bread) & Christmas Delicacies

Finally, the "simbang gabi just around the corner. This the only chance when we (my family) have a bite of "pandesal" :D. Because we're diligent from our obligation, that's why don't have enough time to flee at the bakery to purchase the said food.

FYI (for your information), pandesal was acclaimed for a filipino bread. Same in other countries like Korea- kyongju bread; Japan- melon bread; China- fried bread sticks(youtiao) and a lot more. Pandesal came from a Spanish word "pan de sal" which means bread of salt.

Mostly pandesal eat for breakfast and always associate with a cup of coffee. We ( filipinos) dip a bite size of pandesal in the coffee (yup!! its taste  excellent ^__^). Even we spread it with butter, margarine (if you want, you can toast) liver spread and other spread you want with it.

This, pandesal is not only food that I can eat all along on this occasion. I crave for some puto bumbong and bibingka (rice cake). Love most to have a bite of puto bumbong ^__^.

Not at most simbang gabi is the tradition have taking part for us every Christmas season. Of course, after the mass, we go to s stall shop of the said delicacies near the church to have an advance breakfast :D
